We all struggle from time to time with laziness in physical things! Some struggle more than others. However, have we ever stopped to challenge ourselves in regards to our laziness in spiritual matters? This lesson aims to examine what the Bible says about laziness with an eye towards overcoming the spiritual laziness that so many Christians struggle with.

Consider that last obnoxious or profane statement, those disrespectful gestures, that heated and angry argument, those unkind words, or some other sinful activity. Would you have done or said those things if God were in the room?

What is it that you spend most of your time thinking about—the things of this world or the things of God? It is easy to get wrapped up in the affairs of this world, but the Lord wants us to center our hearts and minds on heavenly things. This lesson challenges us to "Elevate Our Thoughts" to where God would have them—on things eternally significant!

Why is it that twenty-first century “Christians” seek a form of Christianity so different than that of the first century? Man adds to and takes away from God’s word as if there were no warnings in scripture against such behavior (Rev. 22:18-19). If you look around in the church you have chosen to be a part of, what do you see?

The word evangelist is derived from the Greek word eujaggelisthv (euaggelistes pronounced yoo-ang-ghel-is-tace’) meaning “one who brings good news.” Today, we define the word as “one who spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ.”  Christians evangelize for many reasons. The apostle Paul expressed some of these in the first chapter of Philippians.
